842 ’36’ ‘. Sanding a blank canvas // by Alberto Gil Casedas
Next Friday, November 24, we will be waiting for you at Piramidón from 7.30pm, where we will celebrate the finaissage of the collective exhibition 2017_n3 and the presentation of the exhibition by resident artist Alberto Gil Cásedas: 842 ’36’ ‘. Sand a blank canvas.
842 ’36’ ‘. Sanding a blank canvas exposes the tonic described in its title: make a frottage on a blank canvas with a sandpaper, thus impregnating the sandpaper of the primer of the canvas and obtaining a new plane of the white canvas. Through the mechanical action of scratching the snowy surface of the canvas a new image or space resulting from the residue of the vacuum is produced, that is, a new blank starting point is obtained through the same blank space.
This exhibition will take place within the framework of the Open Night of the Poblenou Urban District.
* The exhibition can be visited until January 26, 2018+info
