Since the beginning of the 20th century, first in Europe, and then in the rest of the West, there has been a phenomenon of filling cities: ordinary cities become metropolises. This result, but also necessary, happens because in cities, especially large ones, “anything can happen” … The dream of becoming free, of being able to realize something concrete for oneself and for one’s family, is behind ‘corner. At the same time, the powerful of the world are represented, placing “The first stone” as a symbol of economic growth and expansion in general. In this new century, with the arrival of the year 2000, many symbols, beliefs, customs, lifestyles and dreams have changed, and therefore those who laid the cornerstone today plant trees, including forests and forests. The dream has changed, it has changed! The phenomenon of returning to the origins is always stronger and a healthy life is required, made of clean air, of discovery of perfumes, flavors, landscapes, views and new landscapes. Davide Bramante’s research focuses on the real possibility of leaving the metropolitan center. The artist was born in Syracuse, capital of Magna Graecia on the edge of the history of a great civilization, the Greeks, tries to understand the passage of “back and forth”, as the history of his city, the first metropolitan city in the world old, returned border city. And what a beautiful edge!
