Abraham Cruzvillegas

16 February - 25 March

| CHF23

After the works of Abraham Cruzvillegas (* 1968) were shown in 2015/16 at a grand appearance in the Turbine Hall of the Tate Modern and in comprehensive individual exhibitions in the USA, France and Germany, the Kunsthaus Zurich is now exhibiting for the first time in Switzerland Exhibition of the Mexican artist. In his sculptures and spatial installations he examines architecture as an expression of social relations. Cruzvillegas grew up in Ajusco, a volcanic landscape south of the Mexican capital. There, in the course of a land run in the 1960s, precarious self-built buildings were built, which were built with materials from the area without foundation and construction plan. The entire community of family members and neighbors was involved in the construction of these buildings.
