Robert Delaunay (1885 – 1941), one of the most important pioneers in the art of the early 20th century, is honored with this most extensive presentation in Switzerland. The exhibition highlights two important paintings from the Kunsthaus Zürich collection, namely “Formes circulaires”. Soleil, lune “, 1913 – 1931, as well as the monumental image of” Formes circulaires “from 1930. The visually extremely attractive exhibition gives the audience an opportunity to experience the broad spectrum and the prognostic nature of Delaunay’s work , which concerned the artist all his life: light, color and the pictorial expression of a visual process understood as a conscious activity. The exhibition will also show how the passionate advocate and representative of abstract art became a central figure of the Parisian avant-garde.
