29.09.2017 – 25.10.2017
by Thomas Knüsel and Lukas Geisseler
Opening on 29 September, 7 pm
In his works Lukas Geisseler deals with sociopolitical and economic questions. From his research, drawings are created which soberly link structures of global and local contexts. For example, in the series “displaced”, he traces the lines of waffle exports from Switzerland and asylum applications to Switzerland for several years.
Thomas Knüsel questions questions about the relationship between subjective perception and scientific certainty. From this he develops artefacts in various media. These artifacts – “humanmadeobjects” such as models, images, and found objects – are often associated with aesthetics found in scientific models and visualizations. His objects open up an ambivalent field between sense and sensuality.
