White. The showroom is filled with an area. It is not made of paper.
In the exhibition “Hold on to that paper” on the premises of the Counter Space, Tashi Brauen emphasizes the room with minimalist gestures, giving him one voice: the room becomes the opposite.
The viewer is also involved in this dialogue. The white surface contracts, folds and pushes towards the viewer. Tashi Brauen’s artistic practice is like a wave motion between the second and third dimension.
He plays with simulated volumes, scales, dimensions – and with our expectations.
