More about Ursina Hasler
Schöffel Art is pleased to announce the exhibition “Hey, Face it!” By Ursina Hasler.
The Zurich graphic artist and painter Ursina Hasler studied at the Zurich University of the Arts and Design (ZHdK) and completed her artistic training in 1999 in visual design. During and after her studies she worked as a painter and graphic artist in numerous projects.
In the exhibition “Hey, Face it!” The artist concentrates on the essence of woman. She tells stories with her painted portraits.
The stories behind the pictures are preceded by the encounter with man, which then, however, immediately transforms into a memory. Perhaps one recognizes persons from the own life in the pictures. Perhaps one sees oneself in a timely manner. Probably brighter and brighter and then darker and gloomier.
Thus Ursina Hasler activates an emotional reflection at the viewer. The focussed looks of the portrayed women awaken impulsive memories of people from their own environment. Further, they show us who we might encounter in the future …
Not infrequently, in the quiet and somewhat melancholy uncertainty, one lays aside whether the corresponding meeting, which was or which still comes, will remain beautiful or painful.
The vernissage takes place on Thursday 29 June from 18 to 23 o’clock.+info
