The Museum Rietberg in Zurich has its location in the beautiful park Rietberg and consists of three villas. In this romantic backdrop, art from Asia, Africa, America and Oceania is shown and stands for the only art museum for foreign-European cultures in Switzerland. The museum has a long and multifaceted history and is animated with numerous artists, intellectuals and scientists.

Osiris – The sunken secret of Egypt

This spectacular exhibition shows 300 statues and ritual objects, sarcophagi and idols from sixteen centuries retrieved from the depths of the Mediterranean off the Egyptian coast. The exhibits originate from the legendary cities of Thonis-Heracleion and Canopus, which became submerged in the eighth century AD. They provide answers to many age-old questions. Last chance for a public tour of the special exhibition «Indian Pahari Painting». The exhibition is devoted to the magnificent collection of Indian Pahari paintings by Horst Metzger. There are forty pictures from the Pahari region, the Himalayan mountain range of northwest India. The works were painted in the 18th and early 19th century for art-loving princes and mostly come from extensive series to Krishna's life.
